Dogpatch Labs is one of Europe’s leading startup hubs providing a platform for innovation and entrepreneurship, founded with the mission of accelerating the development of Ireland’s startup ecosystem. It is home to over 250 startups and over 500 members from 30 countries. Our alumni include Intercom, an Irish ‘unicorn’ valued at over €1 billion. Dogpatch Labs is also home to Ireland’s National Accelerator Programme, the NDRC.
The NDRC Accelerator is a programme for early-stage, globally scalable tech startups that help founders build their businesses and raise funding.
Throughout the programme, startups work with over 40 accomplished entrepreneurs, VCs, and experts as mentors and Entrepreneurs in Residence. Each team is provided a 100k uncapped SAFE note investment with a 20% discount. There is also a focus on international expansion and understanding tech industries and funding mindsets of other major markets, such as the US.
As an Associate, you will have the opportunity to work closely with startups in our program, learn a lot, and meet amazing people. You will also attend and participate in much of what goes on around NDRC including mentor talks and guest presentations. It's a great opportunity to learn about running a startup right at the source of where things get done while adding a ton of value to the operations of great startup companies and the NDRC itself.
This is a full-time position during the time period. You must be available during the day and on Wednesday evenings. The schedule is flexible but a strong commitment is expected. Applicants should be able to jump in and complete any task quickly and effectively. We expect a great attitude, a desire to learn and meet new people, and lots of energy, and enthusiasm. You should be scared of no task and be willing to take on any project, large or small.
It’s a chance to get an amazing experience, broaden your network in ways you could never imagine, get exposure to some of the greatest up and coming companies and teams in the country. Associates may end up being employed by one of the teams, the NDRC, by someone they met during the span of the three months, or go on to build their own companies.
We are looking for a dynamic Tech Associate who loves working on the technical side of building products. In this role, you will get to collaborate with 7 top-caliber startups from around Ireland and abroad for a three-month period. From competitive research to brainstorming on technical solutions to problems, this role is the opportunity to apply and further develop unique skills as a technical team member in a startup.
This role demands great organizational skills, flexibility, and calmness in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
We also expect the Tech Associate to participate in program support with the other associates. Tasks will include assisting the companies in any areas of need, planning of weekly events, preparing for the end of programme events, and taking meeting notes.
Associates will report to the Program Manager. The position begins on August 2, 2022, to October 21, 2022. The upcoming NDRC Accelerator programme will take place in a hybrid environment; three “Core Weeks” will take place in person at Dogpatch Labs in Dublin, Ireland.
Associates must be able to attend these three core weeks in person:
The rest of the programme will take place virtually with the option to work from Dogpatch Labs available and encouraged.
Please submit your CV along with a short blurb (< 200 words) summarising why you’re interested in working with the NDRC and our Accelerator cohort startups.
Dogpatch Labs is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and mindsets because we know the strength of our team lies in its diversity.
