About the role

Accounts Assistant

Under the direction of the Finance Manager and Financial Controller, the Accounts Assistant forms an important part of the Finance team who are responsible for managing the financial operations of Dogpatch Labs and its subsidiary companies. The successful candidate will provide both administrative and financial support in the day to day tasks of a busy Finance team and will have a number of tasks and responsibilities.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Management of Accounts Receivable function (credit control management)
  • Management of Accounts Payable function (posting invoices, reconcile creditors, setting up bank payments)
  • Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures
  • Assisting with research, filing and administrative office tasks as required by the team
  • Assisting with the preparation for audits
  • Maintaining books and records for audit purposes
  • Assistance with ad-hoc projects as required


  • Understanding of GAAP accounting principles
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks, G-suite, Spendesk & Revolut or similar software packages
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data
  • Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability


  • Circa 1+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Exposure to account software packages
  • Highly motivated with an ability to use own initiative
  • Effective organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and independently as well as contributing to ensuring the effective performance of the team.
